It dawned on me a few weeks ago how I have finally come home. I forget when it was that that realization hit me, but it must have been during or in between one of the many strings of dates with the different groups of friends. My communities.
Last night at dinner, RX asked me that same question, how long did it take for you to adjust coming back? A year, I marveled, a full year, but it’s heartening to look around at all the grinning faces.
Great fun at last night’s dinner too; our motley college group, laughing and reminiscing over all the silly things we got up to so many years ago.
