End of a fantastic run

Ok doke. I’m offically done with winter. Thanks weather god, you can turn off the faucet now.

Third and last day of skiing today, this time at Loveland, where we met up with TL and Mark. Can I just say it was pow wow? There was so much powder, at one point I was literally stuck in waist deep snow.

It sure didn’t look like spring skiing; the wind was merrily gusting away, blowing fresh snow directly into our faces most of the time.

Great run though. I am leaving mucho satisfied. It’s time to look forward to another seasonal outdoor sport – climbing in Kentucky in two weeks! 🙂

  1. “Merrily gusting”, to put it mildly, is a huge understatement.

Glad to see that you and Jeff made it back safely.

The faucet will however continue; no one here plants their gardens before May.

  2. Haha no flowers before May?

Good that you made it back safely too. Hahah you didn’t see us after we dropped you off – the stupid Kia almost didn’t have the power to even make it out of the parking lot! We had to take another exit and even then the car was slipping and sliding all over the place.

  3. We often get a snowstorm in May. If you want live crops and flowers, plant after that.

Last year, we had a hailstorm in July, which destroyed flowers and food gardens and some roofs.

And I think the problem with the Kia is largely in the tires; if the tires slip and slide everywhere it means there is little grip, and if there is little grip then it does get quite difficult to get out of the parking lot. I’ve seen trucks struggle to get out of the lot when my little mud-colored VW Jetta with snow tires can.
