The forecast promised decent winds of 15-20 knots. But even as we unfurled the sails as we motored out of the harbor, we could feel the wind dying down.
Nonetheless, there is a serenity to bobbing up and down on the blue-green waters of Lake Michigan, feeling the warmth of the sun on our bare legs, and looking back at the beautiful skyline of Chicago. We were also out on the water this past Wednesday as well, but in the evening, and we went up the river and back out onto the water in a cruiser, to watch the fireworks.
I love summer.
