Glorious Meistersinger at the Lyric

Chicago Classical Review’s take on the performance, a five and a half hour long comedy, the only of Wagner’s.

Loved the staging, the sets, and the flowing music. The hours just flew by without us really agonizing over the minutes. 🙂 the singers were all first rate, and were such a treat to listen to – although James Morris was suffering from a cold and occasionally seemed drowned out by the orchestra.
