The weather forecast spelled doom and gloom, but we took our chances and spent two nights camping at Harrington Beach State Park anyway. It did storm, but only when we were safely esconed in our tent. The rest of the time, we enjoyed the smell of early summer, fresh air, and whipped up some good food. Fun times with good company.

We got into camp around 10pm – enough time to sit around the fire for a bit before bed. The wet wood took forever to catch. But it was well worth the effort

The storm clouds rolled in fast after we were done with dessert (happily). We ducked into our tents in the nick of time and were treated to displays of intense flashes of lightning. In the morning though, the skies were a brilliant blue, and the sun dried out our tents in no time
