Weekend in Colorado

We had a lovely and packed weekend in Colorado, visiting Sue. Miles was in town for the week too, so the four of us squeezed in a full day of climbing Saturday, followed by another full day of hiking. It was both Jeff and my first time in Colorado during the summer, and we had so much fun exploring the hills literally in her backyard that we’re tempted to try going back again in the fall. 🙂

Hell Hole Hike (8 miles round trip, with a 2,000 feet elevation, which is no joke at altitude! I could feel the blood rushing to my head whenever I bent down)

Gorgeous, gorgeous hike though

We enjoyed the view for about 15 minutes, then the clouds rolled in, and it got really chilly.

Loved the yellow wildflowers and the aspens on the trail

Would you look at that view of North Table Mountain from Sue’s porch?! Man, we’re really envious of her beautiful backyard. Mountains to climb/hike/bike ride, rivers to raft… What a life. 🙂
