R+K’s Engagement Shoot

Jeff and I were incredibly honored that R+K asked us to take their engagement photos. We spent a fun-filled evening by the Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium, before heading to Balena for dinner. After, we stopped by the cathedral that they used to go for weekly masses when R was still living in Chicago.

It was our first time taking engagement photos for our friends (well, we did take some pictures for S+E when we were out climbing with them which they then put into their wedding guest book), so we were a little nervous. At least, we reasoned, if they didn’t like the photos, they still had plenty of time to hire a professional photographer. 🙂

But we had a ton of fun anyway. It was a partly cloudy day, so we got to work in different lighting conditions, which turned out way better than we could have hoped for.
