We’ve found that the upshot of cooking more at home is that we’re finally drinking down our cellar. Which is a very good thing, since it means that we now have cellar space to buy more wine again! Hehe.
Dinner tonight was delicious: Brussel sprouts with turkey bacon and soya sauce chicken. Plus, the teeniest leftover of butter chicken from the prior night. Paired beautifully with the dregs of the Ayoub Chardonnay, and the new bottle of Roederer Estate Pinot Noir that we popped open.
Note to self: use real fatty bacon next time when cooking with brussel sprouts. The unhealthier it is, the tastier the dish. Plus, the lame turkey bacon wouldn’t start sticking to the bottom of the pan.
