Burp. Burp. Burp. Another amazing Thanksgiving in the comfort of my aunt’s place – or to be more precise, kitchen, since we hardly deviated from it all weekend long. So much food. Starting with her generous bowl if homemade chicken pate as she put the finishing touches on the Thanksgiving feast Thursday afternoon. The centerpiece of turkey of course, along with the requisite cranberry sauce and onion sauce, cheesy mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, roasted brussell sprouts, spring rolls, pecan pie, raspberry cheesecake and blueberry trifle.
We had a large group this year. Jeff’s mom and brother came down from NYC, as did Angela and her fiancé G. For the first time, Mark also invited two friends over. Fun times. We were stuffing our faces so that I forgot to take any pictures of the food.
The feasting continued through the weekend of course, with saya lode (a Malay curried vegetable dish), mee siam, satay, lemongrass shrimp, lamb, and pho. I need to take a detox – but the holiday festivities has begun! Heh.
Anyway, shall end this post with this double exposure shot I was trying on Joe (one of the rare moments in between eating). Was inspired by the multiple exposure shots G took on his film Nikon and Holga. I suppose it might have been easier to do multiple stacking in post processing in Photoshop, but I don’t have the tool and it seems more authentic to work in camera.
