The Little Prince

I love the Looking Glass Theater. Intimate space. The plays we’ve seen this far by the company have been wonderful – solid acting, inventive staging and gorgeous lighting.

Tonight, we caught The Little Prince. The staging was delightfully imaginative and whimsical, like the book itself. Loved, loved, loved the circusy elements incorporated – acrobats walking on balls, aerial dancing in wires and lyra. It was a joint production with Evanston’s Actor’s Gymnasium, and the actors were not only skilled in acting and the acrobatic arts, but also provided the musical sound effects with both their voices and various instruments. Brilliant!
