One of Jeff and my goals for the year – and the past several years – was to cook more. I think we really only started doing so sometime mid-year. It’s been very satisfying and rewarding so far though, especially when we have friends over for a simple meal with wine. We have a tempered glass board over our mini wine fridge on which we jot down our menus for the upcoming week, and for the most part, have stuck to it.
A few of our yummy attempts that have since become staples:
- Thai basil pork
- Pulled pork (yay for slow cooker)
- Stews – just love the awesomeness that is our slow cooker
- Fried rice
- Hot pot (how can stone soup go wrong?)
- Steamed/seared fish
- Anything from those delicious Prima Deli spice packets hehe
